To learn more about us please read... A Word from the director ... Our VALUES ... Our VISION ... or if you would like to contact us Our Contact Information. Welcome to Middle Flint Behavioral HealthCare Website. We hope that you find this website to be helpful to you, whether you are a consumer seeking services, a community organization or agency, or perhaps a new staff member. As a large public service agency, we recognize that accessing the appropriate services or information can sometimes be cumbersome. Within an eight county service area and over thirty service sites, effective communication must be a high priority for our organization. We hope that this guide will serve to improve your access to services. Please assist us in our efforts to enhance communications with all our customers - agencies, consumers, staff - by letting us know if you have difficulty obtaining any services or information. My telephone number is 229-931-2470. If you are not already familiar with our services, please take a moment to browse this website. If you are a current or previous customer, I hope you will note the wider array of services we are now providing. Our changing services reflect a commitment to many of our service values. To highlight just a few: Increased outreach and out-of-clinic services. We are trying to bring more services into the community and consumers’ homes, rather than relying upon individuals to obtain all services in office settings. Community-based services can be more effective and more easily accessed. Improved accessibility. Our AAA (Access, Assessment, Authorizations) unit provides quicker admission to services for individuals, regardless of county of residence, age, or disability. We have expanded our operating hours to include more evenings and weekends and have psychiatric coverage now available almost immediately at the time of admission. Enhanced services to families. Our commitment to providing support to the entire family is reflected in our expanded services to children, increased Family Support services and respite care. Our women’s substance abuse residential treatment program provides therapeutic care for dependent children on site. Community Service. Middle Flint provides many services in cooperation with other community agencies and organizations. Services to local jails and prisons, school-based interventions, and job placements with local industries serve as just a few examples of ways in which we work in partnership with the communities of which we are a part. In today’s climate of decreased resources and increased accountability for public sector behavioral healthcare services, Middle Flint Behavioral HealthCare continues to strive to provide effective community-based services and fulfill its organizational mission. Again, please let us know how we are doing, as well as any recommendations you have - we’d like to hear from you!
