Management

Middle Flint Behavioral HealthCare is managed through an Executive Committee, consisting of senior managers who report directly to the Executive Director.  The Executive Director, in turn, reports to the governing board of the agency, the Community Service Board.

Each service area is managed through a Management Team, consisting of the middle managers who coordinate services for the service units.

Corporate Compliance

Middle Flint Behavioral HealthCare is committed to providing services and conducting all related business and clinical practices in a manner which is in full compliance with the law and ethical standards. The Corporate Compliance Program is designed to address and ensure compliance. A corporate compliance committee led by the corporate compliance officer is responsible for receiving and investigating reports of any violation.

Equal Employment Opportunities

The EEO Committee oversees and ensures fairness in recruitment, hiring and promotional practices within the agency. The committee conducts supervisory training on recruitment and hiring processes. The committee also conducts annual employee satisfaction surveys, facilitates focus groups on work fairness issues and addresses both formal and informal grievances. Members of this committee are responsible for reviewing hire packages for appropriateness of questions and scoring procedures to assure fairness of the process. Accreditation

The service units operated by the agency are currently accredited through CARF.  Designated units are licensed by DHR's Office of Regulatory Services.

Business Office

Accounting Department

This department is responsible for the agency's billing, payroll, and other financial functions.

Consumer information on financial arrangements:

Financial arrangements for services received are discussed during the initial visit. Middle Flint Behavioral HealthCare accepts Medicaid, Medicare, and other health insurance. A sliding fee arrangement, based on family income, is available for all consumers who do not have any form of insurance.

Middle Flint Behavioral HealthCare accepts Medicaid as payment in full. Medicare and health insurance claims will be filed for the consumers who are responsible for any co-payment. Financial arrangements can be made for payment of any co-payment. Medicaid and Medicare and/or insurance cards should be brought to each visit.

Billing Questions

Any questions regarding bills should be directed to the office manager at the location where the service is provided.
