What is Middle Flint Behavioral HealthCare Community Service Board?

Middle Flint Behavioral HealthCare Community Service Board is a legislatively created public agency charged with providing mental health, developmentally disability, and substance abuse related treatment and prevention services. Although it came into being as a community service board in 1994, it previously existed under various names as a state agency. It serves the residents of Crisp, Dooly, Macon, Marion, Schley, Sumter, Taylor, and Webster Counties. The eight member Community Service Board is made up of concerned people appointed by each county government and meets the third Thursday of each month. The meetings are publicized in each county’s newspaper.

The name "Middle Flint Behavioral HealthCare" refers to the agency administered by the Community Service Board.

For over a quarter century Middle Flint Behavioral HealthCare  has been providing services for individuals and families. Services are provided to individuals with mental health problems, substance abuse, or developmental disabilities.

    Middle Flint Behavioral Healthcare provides services over an eight - county area, including: Crisp, Dooly, Macon, Marion, Schley, Sumter, Taylor, And Webster Counties in Georgia. With Over thirty service sites, the agency provides outreach, treatment and support to over 3,000 individuals and families each month.
