Adult Mental Health/Substance Abuse Outpatient Services

Middle Flint Behavioral HealthCare provides adult outpatient services to those persons with mental or emotional problems as well as substance abuse or developmental disability problems. The program’s goals include:

Provide treatment for mental illness

Helping individuals and families during crisis

Preventing or reducing the disabling effect of mental illness

Increasing the family’s involvement in the consumer’s treatment

Reduce the need for admission to state or local hospitals.

The adult mental health program serves persons in the way that least restricts their freedom while seeking the best chance for improvement in each consumer’s condition.

Services offered by this program include diagnostic assessment, nursing assessment, medication administration, psychiatric and psychological evaluation and assessment, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy and crisis management.

Services are provided for each of the eight counties serviced by Middle Flint Behavioral through clinics conducted at a variety of locations.

The adult substance abuse program serves individuals struggling with addiction to drugs or alcohol. Services offered by this program include diagnostic assessment, psychotropic medication monitoring, psychiatric assessment, drug screening, sub-acute detoxification and community based rehabilitation centers in Americus and Reynolds. The outpatient services, which include individual therapy, group therapy, family/marriage therapy and access to AA/NA support groups, are offered in clinics in Americus and Cordele with satellite outreach sites in Buena Vista, Montezuma, Butler and Ellaville.
