Outcome Report FY2008 (word document)

SUMMARY
OUTCOME EVALUATION REPORT

The outcome development and monitoring process has been both challenging and rewarding for members of the Outcomes Committee. The process began with new member appointments as well as a new chair. An initial meeting was held with committee members and unit managers to develop and determine efficiency and effectiveness needs. Once these needs were established and written as goals, quarterly meetings were held to review progress as well as areas in need of improvement. Throughout the year, the committee sought to improve the process by:

1. Developing training for staff in order to improve selected outcome areas.
2. Encouraging more timely submission of outcome information.
3. Distributing results more frequently in order to encourage units to use the data.

The efforts made by the Outcomes Committee, Quality Council and program staff have resulted in the following percentages for combined outcome areas:

Committee members will continue to seek ways in which to improve the process. Targeted areas in need of improvement are:

1. Strengthening the use of outcome results in program planning.
2. Amending and revising goals in a timely manner.
3. Developing outcomes to assist the agency in public relations efforts.
