Serenity Farm                

 

Serenity Farm is a long-term residential treatment program for substance-abusing women and their dependent children age 0 - 13. Priority is given to pregnant women, and to women who are receiving TANF benefits.

 

Consumers must be at least eighteen (18) years of age, and must be residents of the Region Nine Service Area. At present, twelve (12) beds are allotted for the region.

 

The goals of this program include:

    Remove substance abuse as barriers to employment

    Assist consumers in gaining a comprehensive understanding and acceptance of her disease

    Provide parenting training, education and support

    Assist in obtaining vocational education when needed to aid the consumer in entering or re-entering the work force and maintaining employment
